Diablo to Allow Bikes on Some Single Track Trails?

Mount Diablo State Park has released its 2015 Road and Trail Management Plan that proposes several changes in the Park. Welcome improvements include new staging areas. Problems include allowing mountain bicycles on some previously closed single track trails -- sections of the Summit, Juniper, and Oak Knoll trails. TWHA is not opposed to mountain bicycles, but we are very concerned with safety, and we need to let the Park know our concerns. Please send your thoughts to trails@parks.ca.gov by June 30. If you don’t have time to compose an original letter, please feel free to copy from any of the letters below that you agree with. Your words count! Equestrians are few in number, but we share our safety concerns with hikers. Please write!
